Can
I get my newsletters e-mailed?
Yes!
All of our newsletters are available via e-mail. To receive the
e-mail version, you need Internet access and Adobe Acrobat (either
the free Reader, or the full Acrobat program). You'll receive
files of the newsletter in PDF format.
NOTE: One
benefit of receiving your newsletter electronically is that you
can add your information directly into the file. HOWEVER,
you will not be able to change the font (Times New Roman), add
clip art, or save your changes (with the free Acrobat Reader).
Because
the PDF file does not allow you to "paste-up" extras
like the paper version, we include several extra versions of the
inner pages with varying amounts of blank space to allow for how
much (or how little) you need to say!
Click here to see the extra pages that come with your PDF file.

How do I add my own information to my paper newsletter?
On the paper version of News Flash or Senior Scene, you can either type directly on the master copy that is sent to you or if you use a computer you can use the following margins to help you set up the right size columns using a 8 1⁄2 x 11 sheet of paper. Then all you have to do is cut and glue them in the columns. We use Times New Roman font-12pt.
- For the blank column on the Front Page:
Top & Bottom margins --3.8 inches. Right & Left margins -- 3 inches
- For the Update and Announcement columns:
Top & Bottom margins --2.25 inches. Right & Left margins -- 2.9 inches
- For the Residents Reminder column in the Senior Scene:
Top & Bottom margins --3.8 inches. Right & Left margins -- 3 inches
With the PDF e-mailed versions you can type directly into the open columns - NOTE: click here to read about the limitations to this process.
